We've discussed a few goals for the year to come, but what about what was achieved in 2008? How many of you broke PR's, increased your functional fitness, lost weight or just shaped up your personal appearance? Enquiring minds want to know.

I survived the stock market crash. I have shaken off the disappointment of my losses and re-evaluated the current market environment. I have developed a new market strategy featuring maximum liquidity and flexability to accommodate a volatile and changing world and stock market. Transformetics helps me adapt to change.

What a difference a year makes...

Truth be told, I could have done a lot better this year if I would have gotten my training dialed in sooner. It really wasn't until October of this year that I've really started to make serious progress. Add to that Thanksgiving and Christmas and I haven't been able to get as much as I wanted to get done.

Since I started I've lost nearly 10 inches from my waist... WOW! I just realized that. In my "before" picture on the beach I had a 45" waist and now it's 36". Not all of that was lost in '08, but most of it has. 10", man that's a lot! I've gained 1.5" to my arms in the past year and around 3" to my chest. All in all not to bad, not too bad at all.

But I'm just getting warmed up!

P.S. Is it just me or does my head look HUGE in the '08 pictures?!

I was able to achieve my goal of 500 push ups in a single day and more recently 600 in a single day. I almost achieved my goal of 50 push ups in a set(did 45) but thats only because I lost interest in that goal and wanted to try different things.

I didn't really kick into gear until the end of October. I started with a 36" waist and ended the year with a 34" waist. I did this with the pushup program and modifying my eating habits. I look forward to accomplishing some serious goals this year.

I stayed alive.

My New Year's resolution is to stay out of hospital.

Take care,

I accomplished my goal of going down from 215+ lbs to 183 lbs, which is 83 kilos, at 183 centimeters (euro inches) height.

My goal was to break a 1000 pushups in one day which the boys and I did more than a couple of times in 2008. This year I am setting my goals to get down to at least a 30 in waist and where I can see my abs clearly. I know that this sounds weird for a 47 year old man but from where I started, I know that I can do it. I was a 38 in waist with no definition anywhere. I am not saying that I look good now but I have come a long way! The best part is that my family came along with me and we have a blast working out together.

Just kidding i am guessing you meant centimetres ????

Oh jeesh, I'm getting corrected in my English by someone who speaks it funny, :act-up:, how embarrassing.

Yes, centimeters. I was in Japan when I discovered the [more or less] "83" connections.

Sorry, Tom, I try to represent our name a little better than that.
