Hopeful's Before Shot of 2009

Here is my before shot taken today. I just want to see if I look any different by the end of the year. I don't think I look too bad here. I would though like a smaller waist. But I am proud of what Transformetrics has done for me. My goal for this year is the same as last to be able to do 100 consecutive Tiger Stretch Push Ups.

Anyway here is my pic. Any comments you might want to make will be most welcome.

I agree with Steve - good arm development. You're on your way. Check out Tom's comparison on the thread about 2008 accomplishments. That would give anyone inspiration. The smaller waist will come in time. PM me with your current training and I will share some things that have worked for me.

Hopeful, you're looking really strong!

I like it when people make performance goals, it shows a difference kind of psychology than I have. My goals are always aesthetic, "Drop 20lbs... Lose 2" off my waist." But I think performance goals are a really solid path to travel down!

For the waist, as much as it pains me to say, I feel it largely comes down to diet. Training has a positive effect, but I personally have to keep my diet tight to lose fat. Then of course you do have people like Nate who eat whatever they want and never gain an ounce! But I'd bet that you're more like me than you are like Nate :)

Joe: You are right My goals are closer to yours than Nate's! Awe to be young again. And you are right about diet too. So far I have been applying to my life what John says about food. I only eat until I am satisfied and I do not buy deserts anymore.
