Week One:

Daily DVR Routine from PYTP, plus 30 minutes walking. Taking it easy due to recent surgery after a 3 week layoff, along with a minor left shoulder strain from doing plain stupid things...Just starting back, so here we go!

The 30 minute walk is fast paced, and I use it to program my mind with positive affirmations and as moving prayer...

APU: 25
ASU: 30
TS: 80 in sets of 20, the rest filled in by Power Stepping
ASU: 25
APU: 25
MILO: 20 and 15 in 4 minutes

So far so good-The intensity of G.U.T.S. is NOT to be underestimated! This should be a good journey!

Week 2 and 3

Working up to 500 pushups a day, all different kinds of pushups: Tiger Stretch, Atlas 1, offset hands...

APU: 30
ASU: 35
TS: 100 in sets of 20, the rest filled in by Power Stepping
ASU: 30
APU: 36
MILO: 20 and 15 in 4 minutes, higher intensity than week one.

Working up to everything slowly and steadily, training not straining, as John puts it! Enjoying the energy boosts and the overall feeling of well being. I am currently using my lunch breaks to also do a DVR routine, which really helps break up the day for me.

Hey Dave,

I am very impressed with your dedication here. Keep up the good work. One of the most productive things I've discovered over the years is doing the odd workouts throughout the day with Isometrics or DVRs just like the animals do in the zoo. I have very little time to workout here lately, but doing 10-15 minutes of exercise throughout the day works wonders. Keep enjoying the journey.
