Ever since John and his crew upgraded the forum to vBulletin®, I've been looking at some of the cool features available. I know a lot of folks aren't as computer savvy as me, so I thought I'd start a thread here where I'll post some articles concerning some of the tools available in the forum. Most of this stuff is covered in the FAQ, but I thought I'd write it more toward our users.

So keep an eye on this thread and I'll put up a few tips and trick from time to time.

-Joe

P.S. Please don't respond to anything in this thread, I'd like to keep in clean, with tips only. If something I write is confusing, just PM about it.

You can actaully send a Private Message to up to 5 recipients. To do this you just need to type each name in, separated by a semicolon (;)

Not sure how to spell each name? If you begin to type the name, the forum will generate a list for you to choose from. This may take a few seconds, so you just need to type the first three letters or so, then wait and a pop-up menu will list names that start with those letter. Select the name and the forum will automatically put a semicolon in.

IMPORTANT: When the recipients reply the forum will not automatically fill in all of the names. So if you receive a PM that was sent to multiple recipients, you'll have to rebuild the list in the recipients box after you click Reply.

How do you know if there were multiple recipients? At the top of each PM, if there are more than one recipients, it will list everyone the PM was sent to.

If there is a user that, for whatever reason, you want to ignore, you can put them in your Ignore Lists and the forum will completely block all posts made by that user.

To do this click on User CP at the top left to go to your user control panel. Under Settings & Options, click on Edit Ignore List. Type in the member you want to ignore and click Okay.

This will create a list of users in your Ignore List.

To remove someone from you Ignore List, uncheck their name and click Save Changes.
