Transactional Analysis is a theory of personality developed by psychologist Dr Eric Berne.

To describe it in the very simplest terms it breakers down the personality into three parts or ego states:
1. Parent
2. Child
3. Adult

1. The parent ego state includes the programing, attitudes, and values that you acquire from your childhood environment and the people in it.

2. The child ego state is made up of emotions of a child, both natural and acquired.

3. The adult ego state is the rational, logical, and developed part of our personality. In any situation that involves conflict, stress, and various types of emotional pressure it is the only place to be.

Through practice you can learn to place yourself in your adut ego state at will.
Anger comes from the child ego state. With the right positoning of either the adult or parent ego state you can anticipate the reactions of and psychologically dominate another person who is in a less evolved or inferior ego state such as their child.

This is just a very preliminary introduction, but there are a number of sites on the internet that will help you develop this very empowering concept.
