Calisthenics and VRT seem a match made in Heaven, Experiemented using VRT first then Calisthenics; and did it the other way as an experiement, using them as a Superset, one exercise after the other. Sweet!

To quote Jackie Gleason, How sweet it is! Calisthenics using visualized resistance is second to none for getting a good cardio workout. Thanks, Mike.

Greg sweet but hard, I used the VRT Protocols with the Calisthenics and that limited the number of reps possible!

hi im baxter, and a new member to transformetrics. I came across the vrt and dvr concept as i am 20 and an avid health and fitness nut, and i was trying to find a way to get the most out of my bodyweight workouts, because i dont own any weights or fitness equippment and am to broke to afford any for now. Im 6' feet tall and now 174 thanks to bodyweight and vrt. My blood pressure has dropped 30 points, as it was around 170 before now. I have dropped 6 pant sizes and in the last 6 months or so went from pressing 50 to 60 pounds over my to throwing logs 100+ pounds over my shoulders. I cant reiterate enough how much vrt's have really made my workouts better. Im am open to any advice. Thanks!

Wow!! THANK YOU Baxter for your great testimonial on VRT!

The system speaks for itself when one embarks on the program, and the results are living proof it works. I'm only too proud to read your results and what it does physiologically to your blood pressure and physique.

Best always, Baxter. Keep it goin'.

thanks greg! Vrt is really exhausting if you give it your all. I thought i would post my daily workout here. If you have any advice for me please feel free to critique.

Upper body:
bodyweight push ups: sets of 20
vrt curls: sets of 5
vrt tricep pushdowns: sets of 5
vrt chest flies: sets of 5
vrt rows: sets of 5
vrt pull ups and push downs: sets of 5

core:
bodweight sit ups: sets of 20
iso stomach vaccums: 10 sec. Holds

lower body:
vrt leg press and hamstring curls: sets of 5
vrt calf raises: sets of 5
bodyweight squats: sets of 20

i do this as a circuit, alternating between bodyweight and vrt. All my vrt exercises are one direction relaxing in the negative movement and immideitly followed by the opposing muscle, using as much tension as i can muster. I do this workout until i feel like ive really worked my body.

Your routine sounds great, Baxter. If it works for you and gets you pumped, then do it. This is similar to a routine that I did for years. I vary my routine fairly often to get a different feel to my workout.

Keep it up.
