Hello Everyone,

I received a twisted e-mail from a troglodyte that inhabits the nether regions of the world wide web that asked, "Now that Sally Field is telling the world that her step father Jock Mahoney was banging her when she was only 14 what do you think of your favorite Tarzan now?"

Answer: We live in a 'Me Too' world at present and the idea that a woman that is at least 70 has to tell the world that she was being sexually abused by her step father when she was 14 seems to be a little strange. I also find it odd that the porn star Linda Lovelace wrote that her best lover was former Tarzan Jock Mahoney in her tell all book that my wife read years and years ago. It seems that old Jocko had an insatiable libido. Question, what good can possibly come from defaming a man that has been dead for 30 years and that can't defend himself?

The whole thing seems strange and twisted to me.

Who knows? The human mind is susceptable to a number of delusions and imagined events and the need to see your name in print are two of them

From what I read, Sally Fields had an interesting relationship with Mahoney. Yes he was taking advantage of a child, but it seems like he assumed a "father" image and she had some genuine feeling for the man. Then later in life she looked to Burt Reynolds to replace the Mahoney that she cared for.
What I take out of this is that Sally Field had "Daddy issues." As men we should remember the vulnerability of our daughters, and strive to be their "daddies" even when their mothers divorce us.

We receive our initial "Programming" in the first few months of our lives by absorbing the information from the environment in which we are located; from our parents, other individuals, and events happening around us. Some of the information is good, some is bad, amd much of it is of limited long term value. These "Parent Tapes" tend to keep playing in our minds thoughout lives until we consciously eliminate them; which is not the easiest thing to do. Freeing ourselves from these old messages, which were received from sources over whch we had no control, as our minds had not yet developed, can be the key to unleasing our true poteintial and fulfilling our destiny. Keep the good ones and screen out the bad ones and those that are obsoliete.

Hey men,

I just received a link to a story in which Sally Field supposedly said that her biggest difficulty with Jocko was that he wasn't a monster at all but was extremely likeable.

What Tim said above totally resonates.

That is the problem with sexual predators and paedophiles like Mahoney-they come across as very plausible. They are skilled at manipulation and are good at reading people.

If it occurred then no blame can be attached to the 14 year old girl who was the victim and this particular Tarzan was lower than the animals in his films.

Nothing to sweat about my brother. The guilty party could be woowoo-or Bruce Tackett. He is obese and has already had one cardiac episode. Maybe Texas Ranger? This is Parker ,who our mutual friend Wendy says that he has never worked out a day in his life, based on his appearance. Maybe Big Bruv, who had a distinguished career in the British penal system and has absolutely no muscle, based on his own pics. He looks like a crack addict. They are way below us, pitiful.

Hold on a minute- he was a paedophile plain and simple.

Hello Everyone,

I agree with Eddy1 that anyone that would take advantage of a child's innocence is a pedophile. There is no excuse for that type of behavior under any circumstance regardless of who the person may be. In fact, I can't think of anything worse than a child being abused by a parent or a religious authority figure that is supposed to be bringing them to God.

As relates to the article. My only question was simply this. Did it really happen?

In recent years there have been a large number of celebrities with severe emotional problems that use their "tell-all autobiographies" as some sort of a catharsis to explain their own twisted and aberrant behavior. Oftentimes people like that say things that eventually prove to be untrue.

Is that the case with Sally Field? I don't have a clue but she also seems to be defaming the late Burt Reynolds. Again, I ask to what end?

The guy that sent me the twisted e-mail was correct that Jock Mahoney was my favorite Tarzan when I was a kid and to receive an e-mail about some twisted thing from a 71 year old woman after all these years causes me to ask the question, "Why?" As in "Why now?" And again, even if it were true, what is it accomplishing to tell this to the world now? Is there something here that I am totally missing? I am not trying to exonerate Jock Mahoney in any way. I just wonder what the dynamics are in this information being released now. And one other thing, it is so easy in this day and age to make accusations especially when someone is dead. So consider the source before you believe anything.

Well said John. Keeping in mind the current METOO crowd, it is hard to imagine anyone getting a fair shake when it comes down to he said, she said. A lot of brave American soldiers have died with their face down in the MUD to protect the rights of those not only accusing, but those accused dead or alive. Judge Clarence Thomas described it correctly decades ago as a high tech lynching. It it worse now. It is almost impossible to clear all doubts on a he said, she said complaint when all are alive, much less when the accused has passed. As regards my last post, I would love to see all I have mentioned redeemed. I have no idea where their hearts and minds are now, but I am the living proof of redemption. I have changed my ways and am now more successful than ever. I am like the lost sheep in the parable of Jesus. I believe that is why John rejoiced in my salvation. Having said that, Jesus turned over the tables of the moneychangers and ran them out of the temple. Some abuses cannot stand without being confronted. I hope and pray that all that that I mentioned will be REDEEMED. I would happily embrace them whether they liked my Brother Johns products or not, I know he would too.
