Who has done or can do them? How did you train for it?

Here is my methodology.

Free hanging one arm only, none of this other arm grasping the forearm of the arm on the bar business. I weigh right around 200 at 6 feet tall. I can do a controlled negative on a lat pull machine (one handed) with 150 lbs (8 second negative). I don't train that, but am rather doing isometrics but am using that movement once a month to give me a numeric measure of progress. I've gone from a negative with 100 to 150. Slow and steady is the watchword here though. It's pretty easy for me to get tendinitis on the outside of the elbow. Personally that seems to happen more for me with any movement I'm holding weight with my arms fully extended such as lat pull and deadlift. As I'm moved away from weights it's not been as much of a problem.

Grasping the forearm of the arm holding the bar is MUCH better on the joints.

After John demonstrated it a while back, it felt much better. Yet, it still required the necessary strength.
