"The stream of knowledge is heading towards a non-mechanical reality; the Universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter... we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter."

Sir James Jeans, British Physicist, "The_Mysterious_Universe"

Hey Gordon,

That is one great quote. It is totally in line with the Bible's creation story in that everything emanated from the "Thought of God". Thanks for posting it.

The creation of the universe started as a thought in the mind of God.
God gave to us a portion of his own greatest power - the ability to create with
our thoughts.
As the philosopher said "thoughts are things" Positive thinking works, but so
does negative thinking.
"Direct your thoughts, control your emotions, and ordain your destiny"
W.Clement Stone

There is a great book that does an excellent job of bridging the gap between spirituality and science.

It is "The Divine Matrix" by Gregg Braden who is a former senior aerospace systems computer designer with a life long interest in exploring spirituality and it's ancient origins.

An interesting quote from the book is,

" Regardless of what we call it or how science and religion define it, it's clear that there's something out there- a force,a field, a presence - that is the great "net" that links us with one another, our world, and a greater power."

Hey Gordon,

I moved the thread to this forum because I thought that it was a better fit.

Yes Philosophy and Science merge, always has and always will. Quantum Theroy seems to tell us God exists and made us. Great thread.

This type of thinking could be the catalyst to bring the tens of thousands of Christian denominations together and working in a greater degree of harmony

"All matter originates and exists only by virtue of force.........
We assume behind this force the existence
of a conscious and intelligent mind
This mind is the matrix of all matter"
