One of the greatest benefits of John's Living Strength Transformetric system is the energy and ability to ENJOY and do athletic things. Monday I helped chaperone teens on a field trip to a camp. I kyacked, hiked, and did high ropes stuff. It is a good feeling being able to keep up with young people and not be tired.

I am not particularly fond of heights, but because of training my body to move through multiple planes of motion and having control over my muscles and coordination, I am a lot better at outdoors kinds of stuff than I was a few years back. Truth be known, I am in better physical condition than I was in what I thought was my athletic peak back in my late twenties.

I have said this before, and I'll say it again. If you train with apparatus and machines you are training your body to the apparatus. When you use bodyweight exercises and self-resistance, you are training your body to MOVE at YOUR DIRECTED WILL. It makes a difference.

I often pass a local gym chock full of sophisticated weight training machines. Sometimes when I am waiting on Lori to shop, I sit in the car and watch what is going on inside. I watch glum, out of shape people pushing and pulling on the apparatus. Somehow, some way, the apparatus is going to give them the build of their dreams, but they never arrive. They don't realize that it is the MIND that recreates the body, not the machine or barbell.

Think about it.

When you use external apparatus you are directing your creative energy out of your body and toward the apparatus.

When you use FMT you are directing that same creative energy inward to the center of your mind which is the source of all personal strength - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Using our System is simpler, less time, a Gym means you drive or travel there, there are time waits on machines also, so the entire time need is longer then a self program. I think about the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50's Movie Stars that used the Atlas System, simple, easy and 20 minutes a day. Stars now struggle, go through bootcamps for films, and can not keep up with the demands of thier programs and fall out of shape. John teaches a simpler, easier method, that can keep anyone in shape, from regular folks to hardcore.

I was forced to have some "go" today, while mowing the lawn, of all things. As I was mowing, I was dive bombed by an angry Robin that had, unknown to me, built a next under my deck. Seeing me as a threat to his/her's family, the bird dived at me and actually struck me. I turned, mower still going, only to see the bird coming a second time. I ducked and did a crazy looking one-legged squat, then a quick one armed backward bridge, then back to standing in less time than it takes to type this. (I had to do the one armed bridge to standing in order to avoid falling into some dog-doo...) Needless to say, training can have some unexpected benefits...my neighbors laughed, then asked how I moved like that without wrecking myself...humorous to be sure, but thanks to having some bodily awareness from training I was able to move out of the way of a bird attack and a fall into dog-doo...

I also forgot that sometimes, when you pull something, it doesn't appear until the next day...as evidenced when I tried to get out of bed...Mother Nature 1, me 0...

Hey Dave,

It happens, LOL. But, it is a good feeling to know, that the body works for you instead of against you. It is all in how you train. You train for CONTROL of your muscles and the ability to move your BODY through space and it has carryover to ANY body movement and to coordination of that movement.
