Hey Friends,

If you live long enough you're going to see some really, really strange stuff.

This one had me laughing out loud.

Granted we've seen some really stupid stunts and blunders that were posted on you tube but this one takes the prize for suicidal stupidity: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...bly-wrong.html

Scroll down and watch the clip.

Hello No Bite,

I laughed because I thought that it was the most bizarre thing imaginable to watch this blindfolded guy with a sledgehammer going crazy while those guys just laid there. To put it another way, what on earth was it supposed to prove?

I looked it up and they are a religion and apparently tend to be a peaceful group.

Hey Friends,

If someone had just sent me the video clip with no explanation I would probably have thought it was some weird ISIS execution video showing a deranged executioner with a blindfold and a sledge hammer.

I'm truly amazed that the guy that had his head smashed with the hammer did not die.

“With most people the driving force behind concentration is usually desire. When a person desires something passionately, he automatically concentrates upon it and drives towards the achievement of his goal.”

I think that is generally true, but historically they have been fantastic warriors, including service for the British Empire when India was part of that. So maybe the man with the sledgehammer was demonstrating some old-time mace-wielding skill?

The character of Khan Noonien Singh in Star Trek was said (in the original 1960s series) was said to be a Sikh, but he was half-mad and would not be considered to be a good representative of the religion in general.

Kind of reminds me of the videos I've seen of martial artists in China (and elsewhere) smashing their foreheads against tiles or cement blocks and (hopefully) breaking the masonry. I'm sure they claim that their "chi" is well-developed and protects them from injury.
