Hello Everyone,
I received an e-mail asking about using Isometrics to build muscle size and shape and whether or not it can be successfully done.
Answer: YES!!! You certainly can.
The key for building muscle size with any method is infusing highly oxygenated blood into the working muscles. There is no magic involved. It's the blood supply bringing nutrients complete with growth factors to the working muscles that makes all the difference.
As applies to adding size with Isometric contraction, one ultra intense contraction at one angle lasting from 5 to 7 seconds simply won't do it because there is no infusion of blood resulting from just the one contraction.
However, if you were to perform multiple contractions using Solytrain's protocol of 5 seconds at approximately 50% contraction while exhaling, followed by a brief rest while inhaling and then another contraction of 6 seconds at approximately 2/3 or 3/4 intensity while exhaling, followed by yet another brief rest and inhalation and then finish off with 7-seconds at maximum intensity while exhaling, you would discover that you can achieve a fantastic pump that will definitely add size to your muscles. If this procedure is repeated with 5 to 7 multiple contractions within any given range of motion you will build muscle mass very quickly. This is exactly how I am teaching Isometric Power Belt Contractions. By doing so you will increase size and strength while stimulating maximum hormone production.
