G.U.T.S. Featuring Atlas Push-ups 3,2,1

After talking with John last week about the benefits of varying types of push-ups in our workouts, I am planning on incorporating all 3 Atlas push-ups into my G.U.T.S. 300 Power Circuit. This will effectively target my chest from 3 different angles. Note that this workout places an emphasis on Atlas 3 (4 sets of 30) compared with 3 sets of Atlas 2 and 3 sets of Atlas 1. The time of the workout may increase due to the multiple transitions (moving the step on and off of the chair, etc.,).

For this Power Circuit, I will be performing the PURE Atlas push-ups with the aid of three chairs and two steps. For the Atlas 3, I will place both steps on one of the chairs.

Year 2. Week 5. Day 3.

Today I completed the G.U.T.S. 300 Power Circuit 3,2,1 (the execution of the equivalent of 300 reps of each exercise incorporating Atlas 3, 2 and 1 push-ups).

This was an intense 40 minutes of LIVING!

Here is another G.U.T.S. workout featuring all 3 Atlas push-ups.
If there is an Atlas Power Step, this would be a PURE ATLAS G.U.T.S. workout!

For those of you doing the G.U.T.S. on-ramp, you could perform this workout. Just divide and spread your push-up and sit-up reps into the appropriate areas. This way, utilizing all three Atlas push-ups, you will be working your upper body at three different angles.

40 Atlas 3 13.625"
50 Atlas sit-up
40 Atlas 2

40 Atlas 1
