Thank you for posting this. When this Pope was first elected, he noted that Relativism was the new great heresy afflicting mankind. This is the idea that right and wrong are no longer clearly defined, but rather that everything now comes in subjective shades of gray open to any interpretation. If one rereads the 10 commandments for example, it's pretty easy to see this isn't the case. But society has shifted it's focus to a broader acceptance of relativism which includes hedonism, secularism, individualism, and anything else that removes God and His Law from It's rightful place at the center of our lives and replaces it wih anything other than God. Many of us are now solely obssessed with attaining maximum and immediate gratification in the here and now, with no thought of what we are sacrificing in eternity. Evil agendas have succeeded in putting God on the back burner.
The Good News is that God is infinitely merciful if we are willing to sacrifice pride and accept his Mercy in a spirit of humility. We can turn back to God whole heartedly. Humility isn't a bad thing, but merely accepting the fact that God is God and we are not. Embracing Gods Mercy is a sure solution to the problems we face and opens the opportunity to an eternal life of beauty which we cannot yet comprehend. This is new life in the Resurrected Christ.
God bless us all. Happy Easter!!
