The Poison Tree

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I water'd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright;
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veil'd the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretch'd beneath the tree.

Poem by William Blake

Regards,

Alan

Alan My Friend,

Please don't take this wrong. But for an agnostic or atheist you are without doubt one of the most spiritual men that I have ever had the good fortune of meeting on the World Wide Web. William Blake's poem is a real treasure thank you for posting it.

Hi John,

Thanks for your kind words.

And thanks for having organized all those principles of physical fitness into such an accessible and clear format.

People at work have noticed the changes I have made, and I have shown your books to several of them. At least one is ordering PYTP, a fellow who has had some experience in weight exercises but who is turned off by his local gym scene.

Regards,

Alan
