Hello Everyone,

I was talking with a man about Jack La Lanne's "Set-O-Matic" Exercise System for Men. The vast majority of people have never heard of it but believe me, it really was an exceptional course that yielded fantastic results.

LaLanne said that he wrote the course in response to men that were his gym members that were called away to the four corners of the world in order to fight WW II. The truth is that he put together an exceptional and intensive course that incorporated 20 exercises that at the most advanced level asked the practitioners to do 5 sets of 20 repetitions for most of the exercises. As such it was both a high intensity and high volume freehand course that had striking similarities to Atlas's System of Dynamic Tension.

Of the 20 exercises, 3 of them were Push-Up variations. All in all, it would take a solid two hours to go through the entire course performing 5 X 20 of each exercise and even longer if you were doing as advised for advanced students which he advised to perform each exercise more slowly and with greater concentration when the student was advanced. La Lanne advised that the course be done on a 3-day schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
