Hi All

following on from my last post - I just got my blod results back and I have Glandular Fever (Mono I think you call it in America?). With that, combined with Tonsilitis and work/life stress it's caused my body to more or less shut down.

Not much the doctors can do for glandular fever apart from rest, healthy food etc.

But it's good to know what it is and I will make sure to rest as much as I can for the next month or two until the body does it's thing.

Anyone else had it before?

Hello Kenpopaul,

I am sorry to read this. I recently had a friend have his tonsils removed only to discover that he had cancer of the lymph nodes. Thank God that it is early stage and his prognosis is very good.

Paul, It's especially important now that you boost yourself nutritionally and give your body the elements it needs to fight this level of infection.

As relates to Mononucleosis, that is what Jack King suffered from in 1976. Jack simultaneously had Mono and hepatitis. His doctors told him that though his steroid use did not technically cause either Mono or hepatitis that it did in fact shut down the immune system that made him vulnerable to both.

Thanks John - and sorry to hear about your friend! Hope he is okay!

Yes I am working on getting back to normal and have had a month now of resting (apart from walking and a few pushups and stretching now and again just to keep me sane!).

I must admit though my nutrition has not been great!

The Jack King thing is interesting! Something to note.

I'm hoping your new book will be out soon and I can focus on that.

Thanks John
