On p. 152/53 of Isometrics Power Revolution. Is there a modified version of how to perform this? I have been blessed with an apes arm length and can't quite get the form correct.

One way is to deadlift or shrug a guardrail, and pull at 70 to 100 % tension. With VRT do isotonic shrugs. Also do parallell dips keeping elbows straight, the latter being a Jowett favorite for traps.

Have you tried placing some hard backed books on top of the seat to give some additional height ? Just a thought.

I have trouble with that particular isometric as well. Doing VRT/DVR shrugs (imagine holding a heavy barbell or heavy dumbells and shrug your shoulders up, or around in a circle) can hit my traps hard though.

Sit in a chair and place feet on a power belt. grab power belt at lowest point.Work your way up to top contracted position. Just make sure you have enough loop so have straight arms from beginning to end.
Hope I explained this alright
