Hello My Friends,

In 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27 "The Apostle Paul stated:
24 "Donít you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified."
So what was it that the Apostle Paul was trying accomplish?

Answer: Total Self Mastery in order to bring the gospel to the world of the first century. How did he do this? Partly through being one of the strongest and fittest men to ever live. If what I am conjecturing here were not true he could never have survived what he states in 2 Corinthians 11: 23-27 :

23 Are they servants of Christ? I know I sound like a madman, but I have served him far more! I have worked harder, been put in prison more often, been whipped times without number, and faced death again and again. 24 Five different times the Jewish leaders gave me thirty-nine lashes. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. 26 I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not.[a] 27 I have worked hard and long, enduring many sleepless nights. I have been hungry and thirsty and have often gone without food. I have shivered in the cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm.

Question: How do you suppose the Apostle Paul trained in order to not only survive but thrive the way he did?

Answer: I have a strong suspicion that he trained himself much like Wim Hof. Why? Because Hof's methods unite Body, Mind & Spirit making what would be considered impossible very possible. Watch this and you might see what I mean. And by the way, don't be afraid to do this on your own. Wim Hof didn't have anyone to show him---He just did it and so can you.
