The antioxidant known as coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is sold as a booster of athletic performance. Now a study in Turkey shows that, indeed, CoQ10 helps preserve power during high-intensity exercise. In the study, cyclists increased their anaerobic capacity by 16 percent during the final round of a five-part workout after taking 100 milligrams of CoQ10 a day for 8 weeks. The supplement may help your body use oxygen more efficiently, which decreases muscular degradation caused by intense exercise, the researchers say.

Hey Joe,

You are not kidding! In 'The Dynamics of Virile Nutrition" I rate "Co Enzyme Q 10" as the #1 most important supplement for men. BAR NONE! Even before testosterone and HGH precursors. Why? Because if your heart fails it won't matter how much testosterone or HGH you take because you will be dead. Seriously, CoQ10 is the most essential nutrient for heart health and endurance that any man can take. It is that important.

Anywhere from 100 to 400 mg. daily. I think this is the single most important supplement for men to take.

Swanson Vitamins is having a special this month on CoQ10, it can be really pricy in the pharmacy. They are charging 4.49 for 30 capsules, 200 mg dosage.
