Hi David

Well done for having the courage for putting up your photos.

Push yourself forward with the thought of your dad is looking out for you and you can achieve the impossible.

No matter how anyone looks in the before picture, it is the after pictures we are aiming for.

Mine are going up this week, as i have stated i have not trained as well as could be, so my pics aint gonna be great.

Well done for coming on board, the first step is done now, so it's only forward.

good luck.

KEITH JAMES.

Hi Greg

My records for the following are:
Pushups= 85 reps.
Squats= 120 reps.
medium grip pullups= 15 reps.
Situps= 47 reps.

As you can tell by my picture i am not in the shape i was in the last time i took a picture and put it on the GUTS forum.
So my aim is to get or surpass the old picture.

All the best.

KEITH JAMES.

These pics were taken around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

My initial weight at weigh-in for "Take Down the Pounds" at work on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 was 188.3.

This is not an excuse. But, the past year has been nuts. All of the house hunting, which transitioned into fixing up the new house, moving in, and fixing up the old house, was VERY stressful. For a while, I just didn’t feel like I had the energy to work out at all. Things have settled back down now. So, that’s not really an issue.

My two biggest obstacles are: a) eating, both in proportions and quality of food and b) staying up too late with my wife, usually watching TV. I’ve already decided that my TV watching HAS to decrease, especially since I have at least one book I want to read. And, that will not get done during my lunches at work.

I’ve made the decision that I have to get back to working out EVERY day, even if it’s just a smaller workout. Something is better than nothing. And, I want to reestablish the habit.

I had already been having “issues” with clothes, particularly jeans, being a little bit too “snug”. So, I had every intention of getting in on this challenge. But, that weigh-in clinched it.

I’m not AS concerned about the number of 188.3, as I am about my size. The mid-section has just plain gotten out of control. And, it seems to carry over into my back, as some shirts are feeling tight, particularly under the arms.

Our “Take Down the Pounds” program at work goes until March 6th. So, between the two challenges I’m hoping to put a nice dent into getting back in shape.

Hi Greg!

Thank you for putting together this challenge! I needed to get back into the groove! I've still been exercising off and on but I need to get back into a schedule. Here is my photo. Some goals that I would like to complete are:

Increase my reps per set on squats.
Grow more proficient in Atlas Sit Ups.
Lose more fat and gain more muscle.

I plan to start out the first week or two with mostly body weight calisthenic exercises such as push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and squats. In the proceeding weeks I plan to add more DVR, DSR, and Isometric exercises.

I am looking forward to these next 8 weeks!

Be Blessed!
