I like to find a balance between the two, running too often kills my shins/knees

Anyone who has not tried Power Walking or as Greg calls it Power Striding should try it, you move as fast as a Jog and it burns calories more then walking. Swinging your arms and striding along eats up distance and it low impact compared to Jogging or Running. Steve Reeves was dead on in this case!

I'm the same, I can run for hours but I feel tired after just a little bit of walking, I think it's partly boredom

I observed that no one could keep up with me, some of my children are much quicker athletes and a several are higher than I, yet when I got to strolling (striding), especially if we had to get somewhere quick, no one could keep up... .

Hi,

I am in favor of walking as the walking as it helps in lowering down your low-density lipoprotein and helps in reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Well Walking vs running is two things, but running is best. Walk is slowly process of bodyweight reduce and running is a fast technique to lose weight. Both are good exercises.
