Felt really good actually, practically did it non stop only to check off the set. Didn't feel winded or groggy at all, it was one huge endorphin high. Circuits using Step Ups always seem to give me a very happy feeling. The only areas today that are sore or my chest and shoulders, other than that, amazingly awesome.

Hey BennyB,

That is a great workout.

Similar to you, Dr. Lawrence E Morehouse believed that the Step-Up was the 'key exercise' for all circuit training due to its effects on lung capacity, heart rate, and enhancing leg strength, balance, and flexibility of the lower body.

Another exercise he believed to be in almost the same category as the Step-up was the 8-Count Push-Up which is basically a burpee with 2-push-ups in the middle. If you're using it in a circuit you'd need to keep reps at 5 for sure.

I certainly know what you mean about the endorphin rush that you get from performing circuits. It happened to me as a result of ultra Intense 3-stage Isometric Contractions that I perform for a 6-7-8 sequence.
